The Chatter Box Group

The Chatterbox Group is a small group of up to six children. The Chatterbox Group happens twice a day to assist children who need a little or a lot of help with their speech and language development. The group supports children with English as an additional language and children with various educational needs. We also feel that this group benefits children with their behaviour too.

We follow a visual timeline and the children learn the sign for each activity. The activities include singing and signing to the greeting song, taking turns to complete a puzzle or game. The children also take part in listening to everyday and animal sounds. They get to choose an instrument to play to the group and together we sing nursery rhymes. The children also learn to listen to and follow instructions.
